Re-enactment #1469 – Murphy’s Subs 
Air Date: July 16, 2011


On Saturday June 11, 2011 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon a man entered Murphy’s Submarines located at 219 Dundurn Street South in the city of Hamilton.

The man approached the female owner and asked her for a sandwich. When the female turned away to make it the man began assaulting the male owner of the shop, who was sitting at a near by table, with what appeared to be a tree branch. The suspect was yelling at the man to give him money.

The female ran to help her husband and confronted the suspect who then assaulted the female.

As the suspect fled the store, the female noticed another man who appeared to be waiting for the first suspect.

The first suspect is described as male, white, approximately 35 – 40 years old, 5’9” clean shaven with a thin build. He was wearing brown shorts and a grey coloured hoodie. Black socks and running shoes. He was last seen heading eastbound on Chatham Street riding a BMX style bike.

The second suspect is described as male white, approximately 50 years old, 6’ tall, thin build with greyish hair. He was wearing brown pants, a grey jacket and a blue hat. He was last seen heading northbound on Dundurn Street South riding a full size grey or silver bike.


Fail to Remain Fatality
Green Road and Barton Street, Stoney Creek.

On March 22, 2011 at 8:20 pm, an elderly couple was out for a walk in the area of Green Road and Barton Street in Stoney Creek. As they crossed Green Road, a silver/grey coloured SUV struck the couple. The female was seriously injured and the man died of his injuries. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and fled in a southbound direction on Green Road. The vehicle turned onto Carpenter Dr and continued into the residential neighbourhood at a high rate of speed. The vehicle is described as a newer model SUV with Ontario plates containing four letters and three numbers, the first number being “B”.
Hamilton Police need the community’s assistance in solving this tragic incident.

Robbery Re-enactment # 1451

The Hamilton Police are investigating a robbery that took place on Wednesday, February 16th at approximately 1:18 am in the area of Glen Road and Kipling Road just behind George R Allen School.

A female was walking eastbound on Glen Rd to the GO bus stop behind the school when she was approached by two male suspects. The suspects attempted to grab her knapsack and demanded her money. No weapon was seen but one of the suspects pressed something against the female indicating that he was armed. The female handed over $80 from her wallet.

Suspects are described as two white males, in their early 20’s, wearing parkas with their hoods up. One male had facial “scruff”.


Theft of Commercial Vehicle Re-enactment #1448

Air Date: Saturday, February 19th 2011


The Hamilton Police are investigating a theft that took place on January 12th 2011 at approximately 4:00am at Parkdale East Auto and Truck Sales, located at 77 Parkdale Avenue North.

An unknown person(s) attended the parking lot of the business and stole Parkdale East Auto’s 2008 New Holland Boomer Series Tractor at a value of $40,000. Staff had taken precautions to prevent theft of this snow removal tractor by parking two vehicles on either side of it. Suspect(s) hotwired one vehicle, moving it to allow room for the tractor to be driven off the lot.
This theft took place on the night of the snow storm so as to not attract any undue attention.

Vehicle Description: New Holland Boomer Series T2320, blue and white in colour, equipped with a newer plow, unplated. Valued at approximately 40,000.

Assualt Re-enactment # 1447

Air Date: Saturday, February 12th 2011. 

Crime Stoppers are looking for information on an Assault that took place on Thursday, February 3rd at approximately 10:07pm in the area of Veever Drive and Quigley Road.

A young man and his girlfriend were walking in a forested area just off of Quigley Road when they were assaulted by two unknown men. The young man was hit over the head with what was believed to be a crow bar. The victim was knocked to the ground at which time the suspects punched and kicked him. The victim and his girlfriend were able to leave the area while the suspects continued northbound on Quigley Road on foot.

Suspects are described as:

1) Male, dressed in all black, heavy set, approximately 200lbs and 5’9ft.
2) Male, dressed in black, thin build, approximately 150lbs and 5’7ft.
Both suspects wore balaclavas during the assault.

Moose Hunting - January 20th 2011

The Ministry of Natural Resources is seeking the publics help to solve 18 moose hunting cases from across northern Ontario. Investigations into these cases began between September and November of 2010 but have not yet been successfully concluded.

In each of these cases there is evidence that the hunter or hunters was aware that the moose had been killed, however the animal was subsequently abandoned, an offence under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.

While moose hunting occurs in northern Ontario the majority of hunters reside in southern Ontario. Conservation Officers need the help of anyone who may have any information about these cases.

Stabbing - January 4th 2011


Hamilton Crime Stoppers are looking for assistance to help solve a stabbing that occurred in downtown Hamilton.

On Sunday January 2, 2011, at approximately 10:20pm there was an altercation between four men in the area of Hunter St W and Hess St S where one man was stabbed. The victim received non-life threatening injuries due to this incident.

The suspects are described as;

1) White male, mid 30’s, thin build, tall, brown hair and partial beard.

2) White male, mid 50’s.

3) White male, medium build, tall, brown hair with a goatee.


Police are looking for any witnesses in the area who observed this stabbing to contact Crime Stoppers.

Street Robbery
Re-enactment Air Date: Sept. 13th 2010

Just after midnight, on Thursday Aug.12th a man was walking home in the area of Stirton and Cannon St. E in the city of Hamilton. He was approached by an unknown man who demanded his gold chain and black Air Jordan sneakers. When the victim refused, the man then produced a handgun which was tucked inside the front of his pants. The victim complied and was able to flee from the area, unharmed, and ran home.

Suspect is described as :
• Black male
• Mid 20's
• 5'7", 160-190 lbs.
• dark skin
• dark short hair
• Jamaican accent
• Black or dark grey shirt, blue jeans
The gun is described as a Silver handgun with a black grip

Break and Enter

Hamilton Crime Stoppers is looking for information regarding a Beak and Enter
that occurred sometime overnight between the 10th and the 11th of August 2010

Persons entered a residence at 10 Clerico Court in Hamilton by forcing the rear door. Once inside the residence the culprits went through the house, taking stereo, computer equipment and games. Two safes were taken during this time from the home.

One safe was approx 3 feet tall by 2 feet wide and weighed approx 250lbs. It would require at least two people to carry it, and a vehicle to take it away. This safe contained a 9mm hand gun. The firearm did have a trigger lock with it. The other safe was smaller and held ammunition for the handgun.

Robberies on the West Mountain

Hamilton Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a string of street robberies in the west mountain area.

Over the past month Hamilton Police have taken reports of 8 street robberies in the area bounded by Upper Wentworth and Magnolia Drive along Mohawk Rd.

The victims have usually been young people in their teens and have been targeted for such items as IPods, cells phones, cash, wallets and purses.

The suspects have been armed with weapons such as knives, metal bars and baseball bats, and although threats of using the weapons have been made during these incidents, to date no injuries have occurred.

The suspects have been described as males between the ages of 16-20 years, 5’8” to 6’ tall wearing dark clothing such as jeans or jean shorts, baseball caps and hoodies. They have also been covering their faces with bandanas.

Truck Arson
21st July 2010

Hamilton Crime Stoppers is looking for anyone who has information which will assist in identifying the person or persons responsible for intentionally setting fire to a 2008 GMC Tow Truck. The truck was parked at a residence on the 6th Concession West in Flamborough, during the early morning hours of July 8, 2010. 






The Hamilton Police Service believes that this was a targeted attack and not merely a random act of vandalism.




Home invasion
May 28th 2010


The Hamilton Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the five males in the attached photos. These males are persons of interest in a Home Invasion on Cannon St E on May 28, 2010. 




  




Hamilton Crime Stoppers are looking for information on two break and enters into a storage area located in the west end of Hamilton.

The break ins occurred on the 3rd of June and again on the 6th of June, and in each case several thousand dollars worth of merchandise was stolen.

Some of the items taken include high end shower stalls with the brand name of “180 Degrees”, high end brand name clothing such as Diesel, True Religion, and Burberry, D & G sunglasses, and ornate floor lamps. 

                  


                 

The loss to the complainant in terms of dollar value is well in excess of $50,000.

Hamilton Crime Stoppers are looking for help from the public to identify the person responsible for a robbery.

At 940am on Thursday the 25th of March 2010 an elderly female victim was walking westbound to the medical building at 700 Main St. E. Surveillance cameras caught a male suspect follow the victim. As she was walking up the stairs to enter the building, the suspect grabbed her purse and fled.

The purse minus the victim’s cash was located the following day at 120 Sherman Ave. S – a vacant building.

The suspect is described as: male, late teens early twenty yrs. in age with a slim build, about 5’5” -5’7” tall. He was wearing a dark colored hoodie with white stripes around the waist band. There were two buttons on the breast pockets of the hoodie which were different colors. He wore white runners with red accents.


Break, Enter and Assault in Hamilton.

On Tuesday, May 11 at approximately 3:15 in the afternoon, a female victim was home alone at her house on Limeridge Road E when she answered a knock at the front door. Upon opening the door, an unknown male suspect forced his way into the home. He grabbed the victim by the shoulders, pushed her up against the wall and began hitting her. The suspect then ran through the house before fleeing on foot, out the front door. The suspect was last seen running in the direction of Upper Wellington Street.

The suspect is described as:

30 – 35 year old white male
6 feet tall, medium build
Short dark brown hair slicked back and had a few days growth of facial hair
He was wearing a black zippered turtleneck sweater and dark blue jeans


Hamilton Crime Stoppers are looking for assistance in solving a robbery.

On Saturday January 09th 2010 at approx. 5pm, the victim was walking east on Delaware Avenue from Wentworth Street. He heard footsteps coming from behind. As he turned to see what it was he was punched in his right eye. Stunned and partially blinded from the punch, he dropped to his knees and was hit again from behind and fell to the ground.

The victim was punched and kicked repeatedly about the head, face and ribs. He tried to fight back unsuccessfully. As he fell into unconsciousness he remembered hearing one of his assailants say to the other – “grab the wallet, grab the cell and let’s get out of here”.

The suspects fled the area leaving the victim lying on the ground.

The suspects are described as: white males in their 30’s, one being about 6’1” tall and the other shorter. One suspect had a large tribal tattoo on his neck in big block letters.

Robbery:


On the 4th of March 2010 at approx. 3pm a lone suspect entered the Shoppers Drug Mart at 1510 Upper James St in Hamilton. He indicated to the pharmacist that he had a hand gun and showed the pharmacist a hand written note asking for oxycontine pills. The pharmacist handed the suspect a quantity of pills and then fled.

The suspect is described as: Male, white 20-30 yrs, approx. 6’ tall weighing 190lbs. He was wearing a black toque, black sun glasses and a black hoodie with an OC Choppers insignia on it. He should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Mischiefs

Since January of 2005, there have been over 25 reported incidents of damage to property. These acts of mischief to vehicles and homes have been occurring in a condominium complex on Hamilton Mountain and include residences at 110 and 120 Essling Avenue.

There is concern that the crimes are escalating in nature, from the slashing of car tires to homes being set on fire.

According to Hamilton Police Service, there is no specific target or pattern to these crimes but they happen between 2:00 and 5:00 a.m.

Robbery

On Sunday March 7 2010, at approximately 6:30pm, a 14 year old female attended the East End Police Station with her brother to report a Robbery that had occurred approximately one hour prior at Queenston Rd E and Centennial Pkwy. She advised she had been shopping at the Value Village located at 840 Queenston Rd and left the plaza  when an unknown male approached her from behind. The male took her cell phone before running off and making good on his escape. 

The male suspect is described as non-white, with a tan or olive complexion, 15-20 years of age with a tall and slender build. The suspect's right ear had two piercings, he wore dark baggy jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt, black skater style running shoes, and a black winter toque.

Suspicious Person

 

 


On Friday February 19th 2010 at approximately 1100 hrs, an apartment above a business on King St W. in Stoney Creek was entered while residents were still at home. The door had been left unlocked and as one resident was exiting from the washroom he observed an unknown male leaving an upstairs bedroom. The male quickly left heading east bound on King Street but was followed by the resident. The suspect entered Stoney Creek Battlefield Arena where he was seen getting into a small red car (possibly 2 door).

The suspect is described as white, late 20's, 6 feet tall, slim build with a shaved head. He had an oriental design on the rear of his neck and was wearing black clothing.

Mischief: 
On the 1st of May 2010 at approx.1:15 am a suspect spray painted the words ODEKA and ODK on several properties located at 975 Queenston Rd.

The suspect is described as: male white, approx. 14 -18yrs of age, 5’4” tall with a medium build. He was wearing dark coloured clothing with dark coloured hat and dark rimmed glasses.
